TEACHERS AND CLASSROOMS
Every Kinder Garden’s Daycare and Preschool is dedicated to helping your child reach his or her full potential here at our early learning center.
To ensure staff quality, we check references and conduct thorough background checks based on state, FBI, and/or local licensing requirements and COVID-19 testing for health and safety precautions. This includes fingerprinting and appropriate criminal background checks, as well as verification of educational credentials along with a physical from doctor.
In addition, all educators:
Go through a certified process to ensure they meet all state requirements for DCF and ELC.
Complete extensive training in our standards and curriculum.
Train in-depth on child-care and child-development milestones
Receive ongoing professional development training and encouragement.
Our Early Learning Environment
At our centers, we have an environment that promotes curiosity and enhances learning daily. We provide a warm, intimate, secure place for children so they can learn and explore at their own pace.
Our classrooms are specifically designed based on age group:
Infants: Lots of floor space and materials to stimulate optimal development.
2’s 3’s, and Preschool: Rooms are equipped with learning centers that address each age group’s wide range of development skills.
School-Age Children: Social interaction, individual exploration, and opportunities to test independence define these spaces in our center for milestone growth. We have included all five domains of child development into daily learning activities.
Cleanliness is a necessity, so we take significant precautions to prevent the spread of diseases and germs.
In the infant areas, all teachers and staff wear booties to limit outside germs.
All spaces that children come in contact with are regularly disinfected.
All the children’s toys are disinfected on a regular basis.
SAFETY AND SECURITY- OUR TOP PRIORITY
Secure lobby and classrooms. Every entrance is equipped with an electronic tablet with iCare Software. All parents must know their own PIN number, while all visitors are greeted at the door to sign in and be assisted.
Visitor precautions. Photo ID is required from all unfamiliar visitors. A visitor listed as authorized to pick up a child must still show photo ID if they are not familiar to the school director and/or assistant director.
Equipment safety. One of our many precautions is “non-tippable,” child-sized tables, cubbies, and toys. Regular monitoring ensures equipment is in good working order.
HEALTHY, NUTRITIONAL MEALS
Menus include a variety of foods which meet CACFP nutritional guidelines and satisfy Florida Health as well as DCF licensing requirements. When substitutions are necessary, we’ll maintain the nutritional content of the overall menu and post updates so you know what’s been served to your children daily. For allergies and religious purposes, we provide special nutritional meals at the parent’s request.
Meals are served family style and may include your child assisting in areas such as:
View a sample menu in each classroom that offers examples of the healthy options we offer for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack.
We encourage children to sample new foods and taste what’s being served; however, we do not force children to eat or punish them if they choose not to eat all foods served. Please speak with your school director if you have specific concerns because of: religious reasons, special dietary needs, allergies, or other considerations.
